An Aikido Seminar
entitled “Circle Of Friends Of Nakazono Sensei” is materializing in Switzerland, from March
9 to March 11, 2007, thanks to Renato Fillipin
Sensei, who is generously offering his precious time and effort in
organizing the event.
If my father was still
alive I have no doubt in my mind that he would have kept himself busy
sharing his experience of “life itself,” which he called Inochi, and the
time that evolves around it. In this Aikido Seminar entitled “Circle Of Friends Of Nakazono Sensei” I will be sharing the experience of Inochi and its Time with you, through a short ritual of blessing of soul I will be giving before each one of my classes. My experience of Inochi and Time Of Heaven has made me become the spiritual healer that I am today, and I am grateful to Fillipin Sensei for giving me this opportunity to come meet you and give you my blessing of soul. I have been re-polishing my Aikido since two years at the dojo of Sensei Juba NOUR, Shihan, of Aikido Of Manhattan. I began Aikido in 1964 under my father and I trained under many great teachers such as NORO Sensei, TAMURA Sensei, CHIBA Sensei, ASAI Sensei, ICHIMURA Sensei and TADA Sensei (chronologically as I met them). For a short time I did even train at Aikikai in Tokyo. Recently I have also trained at YAMADA Sensei and IMAIZUMI Sensei’s dojos in New York, and I consider myself very lucky to have had such great opportunities in the past. My older brother, Katsuharu NAKAZONO, 4 Dan and Uchideshi to O—sensei and the second Doshu, is no longer practicing Aikido, but when he was, he was the one to rough me up as much as he could, but only in the end to make me stronger than him! I was verbally granted 6 Dan from my father in 1991, but I was never officially graded by Aikikai. I had never intended to become a professional Aikido teacher, like many of my old friends did become [Renato FILLIPIN Sensei, Alain GUERRIER Sensei, Roberto ARNULFO Sensei, Claude NOBLE Sensei, Christian TISSIER Sensei, Stephane BENEDETTI Sensei, Paul MULLER Sensei, etc..], but I kept it up as much as I could for all these years. Juba NOUR, Shihan, is the first uchideshi to CHIBA Sensei in the U.S., and I first met him in San Diego, Ca. in the early 1980’s. He is our special guest teacher for the seminar of Circle of Friends Of Nakazono Sensei. In the past two years NOUR Sensei’s strong basic Aikido technique from his teacher, CHIBA Sensei, and his most heroic Aikido style have saved my decaying Aikido, and I wanted to take this opportunity to share this new teacher of mine with all of you. NOUR Sensei reminds me of my older brother in his heyday; if you like to be roughed, you’ve got it with this Sensei! Look forward to meeting him! I have a healing center in New York City—I practice a form of spiritual healing with my healing water, and that is what I do for a living. As I am becoming healthier and stronger with age—I was born in 1951, after the Aikido seminar of Circle Of Friends Of Nakazono Sensei, I am fantasizing of opening an Aikido dojo as a part of my healing center. My dojo’s main purpose will be to connect the people to the resonance of the Time Of Heaven, and I will be doing that by up keeping the Ki of the dojo with the resonance of the Time Of Heaven, which is what I do in my healing practice. You will experience what it feels like to be “connected to the Time Of Heaven,” that which was my father’s goal in life, at the seminar when I will be performing the Heaven Blessing to all of you. And Aikido will be in my dojo the Budo of choice to honor O—Sensei, whom I see as a great priest who incessantly prayed to Heaven to grant The Time of The True Life to his beloved students and the whole world of humanity. With Fillipin Sensei’s generosity, and your participation, with the continued seminar of Circle Of Friends Of Nakazono Sensei into the future, may the Time Of Heaven expand to this whole world to no end.
